Volunteers are needed for a large-scale international drug trial being held by MAC Clinical Research, the leading clinical trials company in the north.

\n

There are currently 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and one person every three minutes is expected to develop dementia this year alone.

\n

The trial is recruiting volunteers now and will test the effects of new treatments for people living with very mild to moderate Alzheimer’s.

\n

Currently, there is no known cure for Alzheimer’s or slowing its progression. Only a handful of treatments are available on prescription to help with some of the symptoms, resulting in a critical need for new treatment options.
