During tonight's episode of The One Show, when asked about his decision to leave Strictly Come Dancing Aljaz said: "It has always been a big part of me and always will be, but watching it at home you just appreciate it even more knowing how it all works backstage and how much effort goes into every minute and a half you get on that floor.

"Watching it from the audience side of view was interesting and I really really liked it so I'm a fan now, I've got a little t-shirt made, I love it."

Janette Manrara, was asked by Alex Jones on tonight's episode who she thinks is the dark horse of the competition. She said: "Well Alex, I am not allowed favourites. Do you know what I love about Strictly though is you always have an idea in your head as to who you think will be great.

"But as you saw on Saturday, the top of the leader board blew us away - I think we are going to get a lot of that this series. In the last few years it really came down to who the audience voted for because every week it was flumping up and down.

"So my advice to anyone watching strictly this year is that if you do have a favourite make sure you vote as I don't think anyone is going to be safe this year."

Aljaz and Janette are also putting on their own dance show this year, called 'A Christmas to Remember' - the pair have hinted they have 'got to' dance to rocking around the Christmas tree, Christmas traditions, food, nativity and snow globes.

The pair said they never get to 'delve into their favourite time of year' because of Strictly or get to spend it with their families - but now the couple are not on Strictly they are planning to enjoy Christmas to the fullest and that's what the new show is about.

They have also announced they are talking about getting a puppy after Christmas.
